History and Beginning of My Business: Boneci

Boneci Botanical Art Gallery arose from the need to open a space for botanical art in a disruptive and innovative way. Our goal is to showcase natural resources that can be reused, recycled, and transformed into art, taking advantage of what nature provides in Guatemala. In turn, this project was shaped into a resilient space that has transformed my personal, family, work, and now social environment, creating a new source of employment.

The Artistic and Sustainable Process

As a gallery, we fuse dyeing techniques like ecoprint or botanical printing. We use natural pigments from leaves, fruits, roots, and native plants of Guatemala, especially from the Antigua Guatemala area. This technique allows us to dye textiles, paper, and create unique accessories, paintings, and design pieces in a completely sustainable manner.

My Motivation: Botanical art in all its natural aspects.

The Launch

I began developing Boneci with tests, trials, and research in 2018, consolidating the idea for the botanical art gallery during the first year of the pandemic (COVID-19). That time served to refine details and launch the commercialization on November 19, 2022, with a much clearer product idea.
